As the 2020 school year comes to an end, graduating students are dealing with a global pandemic, major life choices, and social pressures. At Bradford we wanted to support and share the accomplishments of our employees’ hard-working students.
Elizabeth Welch, daughter of Staff Accountant – Kim Welch, is graduating a year early from James M. Steele Accelerated High School in Roanoke, TX. “I am very proud of her. She has worked hard especially through this pandemic. She has accomplished everything that she has wanted so far,” mentioned by Kim. After graduation Elizabeth will work part-time and attend University of Texas – Dallas part-time for her core class credits. Next, she will apply to University of Washington to pursue a degree in Biochemistry.
Kyleigh Jade Williams, granddaughter of Construction Administrator – Lisa Dolezalik, turned 18 on April 16th and is a graduating senior at Heritage High School in Frisco, TX. Lisa states, “My husband, her Grandad, and I gave her funds for her birthday. Kyleigh immediately started investing in stock. Our granddaughter has worked the last two years as a lifeguard and loves telling stories about saving lives. She carries medical supplies wherever she goes, and Kyleigh has the sweetest heart of anyone I know. It breaks mine that she has had to forgo all of these once in a lifetime events like prom, senior graduation and an 18th birthday celebration.” Kyleigh plans to start at the Fire Academy and become a Paramedic. Afterwards, she wants to attend PA school.
Tajirah Washington, daughter of Building Engineer – Thurston Washington, is graduating from Little Elm High School. After graduation Tajirah is planning on attending Prairie View A&M University. Thurston expresses, “It’s been a roller-coaster with her the last few months with losing her job at Top Golf, not having a prom, not having her Senior Spring Show for Drill team, and not having a normal graduation. It has been very hard on her. I am proud of Tajirah because despite of all this madness, she was able to except what’s happening and focus on the next chapter in her life. She is ready for college trying to start early in July, but I’m loving being able to see her more since she not working and practicing every day. I know I don’t have long with my munchkin.”
Grayson Christopher Grant, son of SVP/Managing Partner – Michael Grant, is graduating Plano West Senior High School this year. He will be attending the University of Oklahoma in the Fall. Michael Grant mentions, “Our family is immensely proud of Grayson for his accomplishments so far. He will go on to do great things in life. The University of Oklahoma plans to have in person classes this Fall but orientation and all Summer activities will be virtual. Grayson is pretty bummed about that but is looking ahead to a Fall in Norman. Boomer Sooner!”
Congratulations to all four graduating students for your accomplishments! We believe in all of you as you embark on a new journey.
