Leigh specializes in the leasing and brokerage of retail, office, industrial, self-storage properties and land for development, representing both buyers and sellers. Her background includes project leasing, property management and asset management, as well as ownership of commercial properties. A leader in the industry, Leigh is known for high energy and enthusiasm, creative problem solving and for results-oriented marketing skills. Leigh’s extensive background includes the leasing, sale and/or management of  projects such as these properties:
  • Potter Square- 32,000 SF Knox-Henderson area – Specialty retail & restaurants.
  • Ongoing leasing/asset management assignment since 1995.
  • McKinney Avenue – 14,000 SF Retail property
  • Adele Hunt Furniture Building–Snider Plaza – 21,000 SF
  • Lovers Lane – Retail leasing for several local family offices
  • Snider Plaza – 10,300 SF – Retail & Office building

  • Disposition of 13 Office/Flex assets for Maxim Integrated Products – 9 have been sold since October 2012.
Other projects have included the Forum 303 Regional Mall in Arlington, Plaza of the Americas (a mixed-use CBD project – 750,000 sf office, 150,000 sf retail, ice rink, hotel & 1,000 car garage), Olla Podrida Marketplace (67,000 sf specialty/artist mall) and neighborhood centers in Dallas, Addison, Plano, Flower Mound, Lewisville, Hurst/Bedford, Arlington and Waco, Texas. A native of Dallas, Ms. Richter is a 1974 graduate of Southern Methodist University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She has held the designation of Certified Property Manager (CPM®) since 1985 and is a member of the Dallas Chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM). A member of CREW Dallas since 1986 and CREW National Network, Leigh served as the 2008 President for the Dallas chapter.  In 2009 she served as the Chair of CREW In the Community Board and the Strategic Advisor in 2010.  In 2009, she was Chair of the Governance & Membership Committee for CREW National Network. In 2012, CREW in the Community awarded Leigh the first ever Community Service Award. In 2014, CREW Dallas awarded Leigh the Outstanding Achievement Award. The OAA is the highest award and recognition given each year to a CREW Dallas Member.  Dating back to 1984, CREW Dallas has honored individual members who have demonstrated achievement excellence in several areas:

  • Involvement within CREW Dallas and/or CREW Network.
Texas Women’s Foundation (formerly Dallas Women’s Foundation) elected Leigh as a Trustee and served from 2009 through 2013, following her service term in 2008 as the CREW Dallas Board Representative.  She remains active as a member of the Advocacy Committee and represents the Foundation in their lease renewal and recent expansion of office space. Ms. Richter completed a 6-year term (2006-2011) on the Board of Directors of Our Friends Place, a non-profit organization that provides a safe, home environment for girls and young women.  She continues to serve on the Advisory Council. In 2011, Bank of America recognized Ms. Richter with one of their Local Hero Awards for Dallas, as part of their national Neighborhood Excellence Program.  Our Friends Place received a grant of $5,000 for her recognition. In 2016, Our Friends Place named Leigh as the recipient of the Ebby Award.  The Ebby Award recognizes individuals who contribute significant achievements for the advancement of girls and women in North Texas. It is named after Ebby Halliday Acers for her commitment and contributions to women in our community; Ebby was the first recipient of the award in 2005. Leigh was recruited in 2011 to join the Cox Advisory Board for the SMU Cox Business School.  She continues to serve as an advisor/mentor to MBA students, as well as Undergraduate Business students.  She continues to serve and mentor students each year. Other industry affiliations include North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors (NTCAR) and Preservation Dallas. Community involvement includes the Historical Society of Dallas, Urban Armadillos, Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum, Kimball Art Museum and the Dallas Museum of Art. Leigh has completed a 3-year term as a Director on the Board of the North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors (NTCAR), from 2017 to 2019. In July 2019, Leigh was elected to serve a second three-year term on the Preservation Dallas Board of Trustees.  She is Vice President for the Preservation Issues Committee and is a member of the Executive Committee. In December 2017, Leigh was approved by Dallas City Council to be appointed to the City of Dallas Landmark Commission.  Her initial term ran through September 2019 and she represents District 12. In October 2019, the new District 12 City Council member re-appointed her for another two-year term.
