Way Construction, Charter School Ink Sale of HQ Property

DALLAS – Way Construction Services Inc. has sold its headquarters building in south Dallas County to Faith Family Kids Inc., which is in the process of expanding its central administrative offices. The 6,050-sf office building at 1608 Osprey Dr. in DeSoto is located less than two blocks from the public charter school system’s existing central offices. Included in the deal is adjacent vacant land at 1602 Osprey Dr., taking the total to 2.1 acres, part of which is gated and fenced. The single-story office building is situated in the Eagle Business & Industrial Park. The seller developed the structure in 2010, creating an interior with 29 offices, lobby, showroom space and kitchen. “The marketing was challenging because it was a turn-key office project located in an industrial park. The school turned out to be the perfect buyer,” says Drew Baccich, associate with Dallas-based Bradford Commercial Real Estate Services. He, Bradford vice president Joe Santaularia and Brock Wilson, senior vice president and managing partner, represented the seller, who had relocated prior to the sale. Faith Family charter school, established in 1998, has more than 3,000 students in pre-kindergarten to grade 12 at its campuses in Oak Cliff and Waxahachie. Bruce Hecht of Swearingen Realty Group LLC in Dallas represented the buyer.
